How To Choose A Homeschooling Program

Once you decide to teach your children at home, you must also decide what kind of homeschooling program you will use. There are many homeschooling programs to choose from, and your choice will determine how you teach your children. Among other things, you must also consider if you want an accredited homeschool program. An accredited program will make it easier for your child to transition into college or a public school.

You have to determine the reason for teaching your children at home instead of a regular public or private school. You may want to homeschool your children for religious

Tips to Make Homeschooling Fun for Kids

Children often say they don’t like school, but you might not ever hear your children make that statement if you homeschool. Homeschooling has many benefits over sending your child to public school. Besides being able to attend school in your pajamas, your child will have much more freedom to learn than their public school counterparts will have.

One of the things that can make homeschooling fun for children is the ability to take multiple field trips throughout the year. Whereas most public school students are lucky to take one field trip a year, if they even get to take

High School Homeschooling in CA?

I homeschooled a lot of my childhood but I’m assuming some things have changed now. I want to homeschool again for the next semester (it will be my last semester of high school). I’ve been going to the City College for 1.5 years now through an ISP that I don’t want to do anymore. What do I(and my parents) do so I can just be homeschooled? My parents live in London so we’re looking for an option that requires the least from them. I just want to go to the City College.

Is Homeschooling Right For Your Family?

I’ve been a private tutor in New York City for the past five years, and in that time I have worked extensively with eight different homeschoolers and had contact with a number of others. Some of these families are providing their children with absolutely magnificent educations. Others are doing a very poor job of it. I’ve given a great deal of thought to the characteristics that set successful homeschooling families apart from unsuccessful ones, and I believe I have some useful ideas for helping families determine whether or not they ought to take the plunge. Of course there are both

Homeschooling Critiques are Unfounded

The debate over homeschooling has been going on for years, and will continue to persist as parents look for viable alternatives to public school education.

Proponents of homeschool activities say that their children are allowed to work at a much faster pace, can receive much more individual attention, and are free from possible negative influences that may be present in a public school setting. While those against home schooling say that it stifles creativity, socialization, and can potentially set a child down a more difficult road toward the future.

In truth, there are pieces of each of these

Can you get homeschooling free if your high school helps you?

I asked a lady that works at my high school and she said that you fill out a form, and turn it into the Department of Education, and you leave your current school. But when I look online I see that mostly everyone gets their homeschooling program through a site. There are no virtual schools for my state sadly, I’ve already researched that :/

What are some good homeschooling programs in the U.S.?

Primarily Texas. Also, because some people might consider home schooling to be ineffective, and time wasting (my parents), add in your opinion of which is better? Public school, or home school. Before I can even attempt to argue with my parents over the horrific conditions of my school, I need good information to convince them that home schooling is a good alternative, and not the easy-going organization that people tend to associate with it.

Were you able to get into good colleges with a home school degree?

Online Learning: Online Homeschooling With a Learning Management System

A Learning Management System (LMS) is a package of software that allows online schools like The MorningStar Academy to deliver online content to students around the globe. Through a learning management system, students are free to learn at their own pace, in a time and place that fits their schedule.

A learning management system typically includes a database of information that allows teachers to keep track of each student’s progress throughout the year. This database consists of homeschooler profiles, gradebook information, virtual classrooms, online eBooks, and much more.
